September 20 & TBD - Nature Writing Workshop: Hike & Write 9-NoonTwo session workshop includes 3 hours on trail and 1.5 hour follow-up indoors group review. First part: Enjoy outdoor writing and photography on a section of the Appalachian Trail with writer/publisher Mary Jasch and photographer/outdoorsman Lance Casper. This 2-mile out and back walk is flat and easy on a boardwalk above a floodplain filled with wildflowers and wildlife. Geared to beginning writers but perfect for fiction writers, poets, or anyone who enjoys nature and wants to sharpen their skills of observation. Rain or Shine! Class size limited. Fee: $35 /person.
